Job description
* Assist with the design, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of test and evaluation programs for aeronautical systems, ensuring compliance with FAA certifications and procedures across acquisition phases * Prepare and revise a range of test-related documentation, ensuring they meet specifications and mandatory guidance, and suggest improvements. * Provide assistance in developing and analyzing test and evaluation strategies, requirements, and objectives, as well as in determining necessary test data within budget and schedule limitations * Offer recommendations on data processing, software considerations, and analysis for integration with governmental guidance * Contribute to the creation and coordination of detailed test plans, helping to set objectives, schedules, and costs, while also participating in test teams and readiness reviews * Aid in identifying the capability and availability of major DoD and civilian test resources and facilities, and monitor the status of system testing at various locations * Manage electronic records, utilizing AFRIMS and Air Force Electronic Records Management rules * Perform data analysis through modeling and simulation, using the results to improve testing methods and pinpoint areas for further research
Requirements
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: * Masters or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten (10) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD * OR bachelor’s degree in a related field and twelve (12) years’ experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD * OR fifteen (15) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD * Experience with aircraft test and evaluation is required * Experience with data analytics is required, including Model Based Systems Engineering and/or simulation
Other Position Requirements: * Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position. * Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. * Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. * Must be able to travel, including air travel.
