Field Technician II - Data Center Infrastructure

AmeriCloud is seeking an experienced Field Technician II (L2) with data center infrastructure experience to support installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities in live, mission-critical environments. This position requires the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction., Perform fiber optic and structured cabling installations in data center environments.

• Execute work according to technical, safety, QA, and QC standards.

• Troubleshoot and resolve fiber and copper network issues independently.

• Conduct fiber testing using OTDR and OLTS equipment.- Perform fiber splicing and documentation of test results.

• Support quality assurance and quality control processes.

• Work safely in active, operational data centers.

• Mentor and train junior (L1) technicians as needed.

• Travel as required and support off-hours, weekend, holiday, and overtime work when necessary.

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Telecommunications network troubleshooting?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, 3+ years of experience in fiber optic, structured cabling, or data center infrastructure projects.

• Fiber splicing certification required.

• OTDR and OLTS testing certification required.

• Strong troubleshooting experience with fiber optic and copper systems.

• Experience working in live, mission-critical data center environments.

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and work in various weather conditions.

• Comfortable working in data center and field environments.
