Data Center Fiber Technician

• Install, terminate, dress, and test fiber optic cabling in data center environments
• Perform heavy fiber installations and cross-connect work
• Handle MTP/MPO connectors and structured cabling systems
• Conduct fiber testing using appropriate testing equipment
• Troubleshoot fiber connectivity and performance issues
• Maintain clean and organized cable management within data center racks
• Support installation and maintenance of critical network infrastructure
• Ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications

Do you have experience in Network troubleshooting?, * 3-8 years of Data Center fiber technician experience

• 3+ years of hands-on fiber cabling experience
• Experience working in Data Center or Colo environments
• Strong experience with heavy fiber installations (not copper-focused)
• Proficient with MTP/MPO, LC, and SC connectors
• Experience terminating, dressing, and troubleshooting fiber
• Ability to independently perform fiber testing
• Familiarity with patch panels and cross-connects
• Ability to confidently explain fiber testing methods
• Must pass background and drug screening, * hands-on fiber cabling: 4 years (Required)
• Heavy fiber installs (not copper focused): 4 years (Required)
• MTP/MPO: 3 years (Required)
• OTDR vs light source/power meter: 3 years (Required)
