Job description
- Support cloud infrastructure across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Assist with provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud resources.
- Work with Linux servers, system services, logs, permissions, storage, and basic troubleshooting.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for application build, deployment, and release activities.
- Assist in deployment validation, rollback support, and environment readiness checks.
- Create and maintain basic automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Support infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
- Work with monitoring and logging tools to identify system issues, alerts, failures, and performance problems.
- Coordinate with development, QA, security, network, and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, deployment notes, and operational procedures.
- Follow cloud security best practices, access control policies, and change management processes.
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated Cloud Engineer with 2-4 years of hands-on experience supporting cloud infrastructure, automation, deployments, monitoring, and production environments. The ideal candidate should have practical experience with cloud platforms, Linux systems, scripting, CI/CD support, and infrastructure automation.
This role is suitable for candidates who have worked with cloud operations, DevOps support, infrastructure support, application deployments, and environment maintenance., * 2-4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Linux Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux administration.
- Experience with cloud compute, storage, networking, IAM, monitoring, and backup services.
- Experience with scripting using Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Git, version control, branching, and pull requests.
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, or ELK.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting application deployments in cloud environments.
- Understanding of networking basics such as DNS, load balancers, firewalls, VPC/VNet, subnets, and security groups.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Familiarity with security, patching, vulnerability remediation, and access management., The ideal candidate should be someone who is hands-on, willing to learn, comfortable troubleshooting technical issues, and able to support cloud infrastructure and DevOps activities in a fast-paced environment.
