Founding Engineer

Together with our CTO Stefan, you will be the #1 technical hire to ensure our product excels in live operations.

• Operate a reliable cloud infrastructure that enables 24/7 asset steering and high-frequency trading on short-term electricity markets
• Develop and improve the interfaces to the electricity markets and our steering box
• Expand our backtesting environment to test customer configurations, new algos and asset types
• Train, test, deploy and monitor electricity trading models

In your first quarter you will work towards:

• You build in a new asset type in our backtesting environment
• You design the cloud architecture for live operations
• You deeply understand our customers and the purpose of why we build Celsio

Do you have experience in Python?, * Strong CS / Math / Physics background, top university grad

• Shipped production code with experience in cloud infra (ideally AWS) and Python
• Owns workstreams end-to-end, delivers at quality, or flags early
• You build with purpose and understand what you are building for - electrifying the industrial base in Germany
• Fluent in English
• Based in Munich / willing to work on-site in Munich most of the time

Nice-to-have

• Optimization / data science (MILP, stochastic, RNN, RL)
• Fluent in German
• Time-series forecasting in production
• Energy / climate-tech knowledge
