Senior Design Engineer

• Development of engine components and parts for combustion engines
• Design and detailed construction of complex components according to applicable standards
• Selection of suitable manufacturing processes based on production volumes
• Analysis of engine components from test and customer engines
• Direct collaboration with external development partners
• Documentation of component development and preparation of verification reports for component and engine certification
• Support in component procurement and supplier coordination
• Performing basic FEM analyses of components using 3DEXPERIENCE and interpreting the results
• Organizing and interpreting external FEM analyses

• Completed technical education (HTL, FH, TU) in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, or related fields
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Aviation industry
• Proficient in CATIA V5/3DEXPERIENCE
• Knowledge in mechanical component design and construction methodology
• Knowledge of FEM analysis and interpretation of results
• Experience in performing FEM analysis using 3DEXPERIENCE or similar software
• Solid understanding of engine mechanics and thermodynamics
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
• Strong self-motivation, resilience, reliability, and precision
• Ideally, experience in the aerospace industry (Part 21, CS-E)
• Willingness to learn and the ability to work independently as well as in a team after appropriate onboarding

The position offers a statutory minimum salary of EUR 53.241,02 gross/year with the possibility of overpayment depending on your education, qualifications and previous experience.
