Job description

Are you a curious and commercially aware professional who loves bridging the gap between business and data? Our client, a leading UK insurer, is looking for a Data Product Owner to translate business needs into data-driven delivery. You don’t need to have all the answers-just the ability to quickly understand business operations, build strong relationships, and confidently turn complex requirements into clear, actionable work for a dynamic squad., * Define Requirements: Translate business needs into clear epics and user stories with defined outcomes.

  • Lead Teams: Drive delivery for Scrum teams of 5-6 people, collaborating with Analysts, Engineers, and QAs.
  • Build Relationships: Align priorities with stakeholders to maximize value.
  • Keep on Track: Manage dependencies and proactively resolve conflicts., * Flexible Working: Work flexibly within the UK, with options for part-time, job shares, and flexible daily hours to accommodate personal commitments.

This role is based in Reigate but office attence is only required once every 2 weeks (the rest from home). Mostly remote.

Requirements

  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence, align, and challenge effectively.
  • Commercial Awareness: Understanding of how businesses operate (e.g., sales, pricing).
  • Data Environment Experience: Background in analytics, MI, or data platforms.
  • Technical Translation: Proven ability to turn business requirements into structured work for technical teams.
  • Tech Skills: Working knowledge of SQL or data tools (e.g., Databricks).
