Cloud Engineer

• Automate deployment processes utilizing tools like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Jenkins to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain microservices architectures using containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes for flexible application deployment.
• Manage virtualized environments with VMware, Citrix, Rackspace, and Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) to optimize resource utilization.
• Implement security best practices including system hardening, identity and access management (IAM) solutions, VPNs, and network security protocols to safeguard data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate on the development of RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration across applications and platforms.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure or distributed systems, and implement scalable solutions to meet growing demands.

• Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure within cloud computing environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or OpenStack.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA), IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), SaaS (Software as a Service), and virtualization technologies including VMware.
• Hands-on knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker for application deployment.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, Ruby, or Node.js to automate tasks effectively.
• Experience with database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, NoSQL databases like MongoDB or DynamoDB.
• Knowledge of network security protocols including VPNs, system hardening practices, REST APIs, web services development, and identity management solutions.
• Background in computer science or related fields with experience in software development methodologies like Agile or SDLC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex distributed systems at scale while ensuring high performance and security standards.
