Manage team deliverables, run weekly team meetings, and lead client calls Maintain, document, and improve calculation tools for performance testing and asset evaluation PVsyst energy modeling, including terrain shade analysis, soiling and snow profiles, probability of exceedance analysis, and life cycle degradation projections Conduct Capacity Testing, including Exhibit Review, Test Plan development, and implementation Creation of As-Built Test Model and Capacity Test tool development and calculations Validation of System sensors and Troubleshooting underperforming assets Performance Evaluation for the Sellers, Buyers, and Financers of PV Portfolios Operational Evaluation and Financial Optimization for Asset Management Teams Support Forensic investigations and report development Evaluation tool development in MS Excel and Python environments Collaborate with software development teams to enhance operational analytics capabilities and performance monitoring systems Conduct root cause analysis of performance issues and recommend corrective actions
Requirements
We are looking for an industry professional with experience in PVsyst Production Modeling of 300MW - 1 MW systems, Capacity Testing using ASTM, and Asset Evaluation to assist our clients Launch, Verify, and Optimize PV assets throughout their life-cycle.The ideal candidate will have hands-on and in-field experience modeling and analyzing operational data to diagnose issues, performing site visits to assess operational issues.This position will regularly interface with clients and other performance engineers and manage other performance engineers on the team. This creative problem solver ideally has a curious and analytical mind, a love for detail, and the ability to turn Excel and Python into actionable analysis for our clients.This position is fully remote. The following is a non-inclusive list of skills and functions., Proficiency in PVsyst, MS Word, MS Excel, Python, and familiarity with PV LIB and SAM models Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with little supervision High emphasis on customer service, confidentiality, and professional image Effective writing, communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills Excellent time management, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills Able to work proactively and collaboratively in person and remotely Creative thinker and tinkerer with a critical and curious mind Requirements and Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or relevant field. 5+ years of experience modeling and performance testing assets greater than 1 MW 3+ years of experience with > 50 MW assets Demonstrated expertise using Python or other analytics tools to work with large data sets Experience working with data historians, SCADA systems and asset management platforms Ability to develop, improve, and implement data-driven performance improvement initiatives and analysis tools Ability to read and comprehend electrical, mechanical, civil and/or architectural drawings Applicant must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future Position Compensation
