Description

SAIC is seeking a NAVWAR Engineer with experience in systems engineering to join the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Team in El Segundo, California.

PNT SE&I provides engineering, integration, technical analysis, and subject matter expertise (SME) support to the US Space Force. As a member of our PNT SE&I Team, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment with Government personnel and systems engineers to provide NAVWAR-Crypto systems engineering expertise. Major duties of this position include:

  • Support of GPS enterprise integrated system testing
  • Support of GPS enterprise requirements, capabilities, architectures, concepts, designs, and technologies development
  • Software implementation of Y-code and M-code cryptographic algorithms
  • Validation of National Security Agency (NSA) operational key material
  • Provide guidance and technical support for Crypto Management and NAVWAR
  • Collaborate with the government team, other program government leads, external organizations, and prime contractors
  • Actively participate as a Subject Matter Expert in the GPS requirements process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or Science with 5+ years of overall experience
  • Active Secret clearance
  • GPS experience
  • Demonstrated experience developing and evaluating software
  • Demonstrated understanding of System Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience working with or for the government

Desired

  • Current/Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
  • Experience with MS Visual Studio C++, Python, and MATLAB
  • Experience and familiarity working with DoD acquisition organizations
  • Experience working specifically on a Systems Engineering and Integration contract
  • Experience and familiarity working with Space Systems Command
  • Experience and familiarity working with cryptography and cryptographic systems

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
