Job description
AIT Engineering has an opening for Systems / Integration and Test (I&T) Engineer. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that support the Army’s Training and Intelligence systems., * Maintain development and integration systems to ensure patches, updates, and configurations are consistent with prescribed baselines
- Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
- Execute test cases (manual or automatic) and analyze results
- Derive and Manage system level functional and performance requirements
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Work closely with engineering teams to define software and methodologies to perform testing of subsystems and the system as a whole
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Develop system level test plans that tie back to operational needs, goals, and missions
- Recommend the development of new capabilities in support of market and customer needs
- Write test scripts and automated functions to optimize testing
- Investigate and resolve problems with system and/or software functions
- Present information to customers in a formal setting
Requirements
- System administration background (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Virtualization, and Layer 2/3 networks)
- Scripting languages
- Ability to produce effective, clear, and concise technical documentation
REQUIRED SKILLS: Test procedure development/maintenance System and subsystem integration and test execution with problem documentation System Administration experience of Windows Operating Systems
- Product installation and configuration
- College degree in Technical area, or equivalent work experience
- Customer-service attitude with ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills
- Must be able to communicate on all levels both orally and in writing with executive managers
- Must possess or be eligible to possess a US Government Secret clearance
- Be able to pass drug test and participate in a Drug-Free Workplace
Desired Skills: Possess commercial or industry certifications (Security+, MCSE, CCNA, VCP, etc.) Experience in an Agile Environment Experience in a DevOPS Environment
- Experience with JIRA Problem Tracking Tool
- Experience in establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules
Systems Knowledge Portfolio: Atlassian Products (JIRA, Confluence, Crucible) /Bitbucket/GIT/Nexus/Springboot/Kubernetes/Windows OS, * System administration: 3 years (Required)
- Integration and Test: 2 years (Required)
