Job description

· Design, manage, and maintain secure AWS Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) infrastructure, ensuring compliance with security requirements, operational standards, and mission objectives.

· Develop, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines to automate software integration, testing, deployment, and release processes, improving deployment speed and consistency.

· Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using automation tools to provision, configure, and maintain scalable, repeatable, and highly available cloud environments.

· Administer and support Linux and Windows server environments, Active Directory, LDAP, VPN technologies, and enterprise authentication services to ensure secure and reliable system access.

· Partner closely with software developers, architects, and engineering teams to design, build, test, deploy, and optimize cloud-native applications and services.

· Monitor system performance, availability, and security using tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Kibana, and centralized logging platforms; proactively identify and remediate operational risks.

· Support the deployment, configuration, scaling, and management of containerized and microservices-based applications within cloud environments.

· Develop and maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, system reports, and status updates while effectively communicating risks, priorities, and issue resolutions to stakeholders.

· Evaluate, integrate, and support emerging technologies, cloud services, and modern DevOps practices to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

· Plan and execute system upgrades, cloud migrations, modernization efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives to support evolving mission and business requirements.

· Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation processes, access controls, and compliance measures to maintain a secure operating environment.

· Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and increase the speed and reliability of infrastructure and application deployments.

Requirements

· Active TS/SCI CI Polygraph

· Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of software engineering, system administration, or IT engineering experience (additional years of experience needed in lieu of a degree)

· Strong experience with the following:

o AWS GovCloud/C2S

o CI/CD Tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins)

o Linux systems administration and networking

o Troubleshooting across infrastructure layers

· Automation using Ansible, Infrastructure as Code, Python

· Resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues

· Experience with Linux/Windows OS installation, configuration, and performance tuning

· System health monitoring using CloudWatch and Kibana

Compensation of the DevOps Engineer:

· Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000+ based on years of experience
