Job description

  • Design and operate the core simulation platform infrastructure supporting large-scale robotics development and learning workloads
  • Architect and scale cloud-native systems in AWS, including distributed job orchestration, resource management, and cost-efficient compute utilization
  • Own CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and automated testing infrastructure for complex C++ and Python codebases
  • Develop and maintain tooling to manage simulation environments, assets, and versioned artifacts across teams
  • Improve performance, reliability, and reproducibility through observability, profiling, and automated regression systems
  • Establish and enforce software engineering best practices, including modular architecture, code quality standards, and long-term maintainability
  • Partner with robotics and research teams to productionize advanced capabilities into robust, scalable software systems
  • Enable large-scale validation, benchmarking, and certification workflows through automated evaluation infrastructure

About the team Our team is building a comprehensive simulation platform for advanced robotics development, combining locomotion and manipulation capabilities. We operate at the forefront of physics simulation, reinforcement learning, and sim-to-real transfer, collaborating with world-class robotics engineers, applied scientists, and mechanical designers in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
  • Programming skills in C++ and Python, with solid foundations in data structures, algorithms, and software design
  • Experience designing and operating scalable, distributed, or cloud-based systems
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and modern build systems
  • Experience developing maintainable, production-quality infrastructure supporting engineering, ML, or scientific computing workflows

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or engineering productivity tooling
  • Experience operating GPU-accelerated or large-scale compute workloads in cloud environments
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience improving and maintaining large C++ codebases
  • Experience supporting research-to-production or prototype-to-scale transitions
  • Exposure to robotics or simulation systems, including familiarity with common robotics formats and toolchains
  • Experience with modern simulation ecosystems (e.g., Isaac Lab, MuJoCo, Drake)
  • Experience developing or supporting scalable evaluation, benchmarking, or training workflows
  • Contributions to open-source robotics, simulation, or infrastructure projects
