Job description

We are looking for a seasoned UI Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, component-driven front-end architectures. You will define UI standards, drive adoption of design systems, and champion Storybook as the single source of truth for reusable components across product teams., 1. Architect and govern a scalable, reusable component library using Storybook as the component development and documentation platform

  1. Define front-end architecture standards, patterns, and best practices across teams
  2. Lead the design and maintenance of the Design System - tokens, typography, spacing, color, and component APIs
  3. Collaborate closely with UX/Design to ensure pixel-perfect, accessible implementation of design specs (Figma to code)
  4. Establish and enforce accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) and performance standards across the UI layer
  5. Drive integration of Storybook with CI/CD pipelines for visual regression testing and automated QA
  6. Evaluate and recommend front-end technologies, frameworks, and tooling
  7. Mentor and guide front-end engineers on architecture decisions and coding standards
  8. Partner with backend and platform teams on API contracts, micro-frontend strategies, and headless CMS integrations

Requirements

  1. 12+ years of front-end development experience with at least 3 years in a UI Architect or Lead role
  2. Deep expertise in Storybook (CSF format, addons, controls, a11y, interactions)
  3. Strong proficiency in React (or Angular/Vue) with TypeScript
  4. Hands-on experience building and scaling Design Systems from the ground up
  5. Solid understanding of Figma and design-to-code workflows
  6. Experience with CSS architecture - CSS Modules, Styled Components, or Tailwind
  7. Familiarity with monorepo tooling - Nx, Turborepo, or Lerna
  8. Experience integrating Storybook with Chromatic, Percy, or similar visual testing tools
  9. Understanding of Web Accessibility standards and assistive technologies
  10. Knowledge of performance optimization - lazy loading, code splitting, bundle analysis

Good to Have

  1. Experience with headless CMS platforms (AEM, Contentful, Sitecore)
  2. Exposure to Micro-frontend architecture patterns
  3. Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud or similar DXP ecosystems
  4. Prior experience in pharma, life sciences, or regulated industries
