Software Engineer II

Leads team of software engineers building, configuring and deploying full SCADA software delivery systems in Ignition, Factory Talk and other platforms for airport operating systems. Responsible for developing full industrial SCADA solutions including the CLX Bag Status Display (BSD) application for TSA bag processing and improving baggage-handling efficiency. Also, design and development of the CLX Manual Encoding application (MEC) used for manual bag sorting. Design, develop, and deliver the CLX Baggage Handling System (BHS) upper level software, enhancing operational accuracy and reporting websites that enable real-time baggage and flight tracking reports. Conducts integrated site acceptance testing of multiple applications across multiple airports such as Oakland, Nashville, New Orleans, etc. to ensure reliability and efficiency in real world scenarios. Leads client communications, requirements gathering, troubleshooting and commissioning. Reverse engineers, maintains and troubleshoots software built in other industrial platforms. Responsible for building redundant industrial hardware systems, including servers, switches, routers, storage networks, and firewalls; and for performing network design, installation and troubleshooting. Develops, modifies, and debugs SQL stored procedures, table structures, advanced database structures and queries. Travels to customer sites for direct customer involvement and overseeing project testing and commissioning. Writes technical documentation for operating manuals, project submittals and correspondence with customers. Reads, understands, and verifies project specifications and requirements, and submits correspondence to customers to suggest alternate solutions. Assures successful project execution and deliverables on or before schedule. Reads, interprets, redlines, and suggests modifications to CAD drawings.

Do you have experience in Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.

• 24 months’ experience as a Software Engineer.
• Note: 24 months’ experience must involve developing and modifying applications for SCADA systems for airport baggage handling or passenger boarding bridge and gate systems processing using Ignition and Factory Talk or similar platforms.
• Travel for 2 to 14 days, 10 to 20 times per year, to undetermined client locations throughout the continental United States.
