Requirements

This position is based at our Ada, Spaulding lab location. The role supports the Chemical Quality Control team, providing day-to-day lab support including chromatography testing, instrument calibration and maintenance, and involvement in process improvement projects. In-lab testing responsibilities support all business lines, consisting of GC, HPLC, UPLC, etc. for raw materials and finished goods. This role will also be involved in method and process transfers to support a lab consolidation project. As we work closely with and support manufacturing, planning and other quality functions, an open, collaborative mindset is a must. A sciences background with experience in nutrition AND/OR drug quality assurance is a requirement. This is a heavily lab focused role, so if you love working in a fast-paced lab environment, this may be perfect for you!, * BS degree in chemistry, biology, Life sciences or related field * Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a food/nutrition/drug quality assurance environment

  • Background in chemistry testing, with a focus on chromatography methodologies

Skills to be successful in the role:

  • GMP chemistry laboratory experience preferred
  • Experience with manufacturing/quality engineering and understanding schedule needs
  • Experience with Empower, Starlims, PLM, SharePoint, JDE, Blue Yonder, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to appropriately prioritize workload
  • Flexible team player, self-motivated, ability to be adaptable and work independently and as part of a team

About the company

The QC Analytical Capabilities group is a dynamic team of 15 scientists, focused on testing and releasing raw materials, in-process samples and finished goods. The team utilizes advanced technology including HPLC/UPLC, GC and more, to support testing across several plants/products ranging from supplements to protein powders to personal care products. This team works under the umbrella of the QC Department, which also includes Operations & Delivery, Microbiology, Incoming Material Inspection and Records Review. This team works cross functionally with partners in Product Development, as well as Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
