Job description
We are a growing IT resale and refurbishment business based in Norwich. We buy, test, refurbish and resell business IT equipment including laptops, desktops, docking stations, monitors, headsets and accessories.
We are looking for a hands-on IT Hardware Refurbishment Technician to help test, repair, clean, grade and prepare equipment for resale.
This is a workshop-based role and is not a remote IT support/helpdesk position.
Main duties
- Test laptops, PCs, docks, monitors and accessories.
- Install Windows, updates and drivers.
- Check screens, batteries, keyboards, webcams, ports, chargers and BIOS.
- Upgrade RAM and SSDs.
- Diagnose basic hardware faults.
- Replace parts where suitable, such as batteries, screens, keyboards or SSDs.
- Securely wipe and prepare devices for resale.
- Clean, grade and record stock accurately.
- Record serial numbers, specs and test results.
- Help with stock organisation, product photos, packing orders and general warehouse duties.
Requirements
- Experience with laptops, PCs or IT hardware.
- Confident installing Windows and drivers.
- Comfortable upgrading RAM and SSDs.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, organised and practical.
- Happy working hands-on in a workshop/warehouse environment.
- Willing to help across testing, stock control and order fulfilment.
Experience with Dell, HP, Lenovo, PC building, laptop repairs, eBay, Amazon or ecommerce would be useful but is not essential.
