Job description

We are looking for a skilled IT Technician with strong hands-on repair experience across a wide range of devices. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and preparing IT equipment for resale or reuse.

You should be confident working with a variety of hardware and enjoy troubleshooting and problem-solving.

  • Mobile phones (iOS & Android)
  • Tablets and iPads
  • Servers and enterprise hardware
  • Monitors and peripherals
  • Networking equipment

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose hardware and software faults across multiple device types
  • Repair and replace components (screens, batteries, boards, storage, etc.)
  • Reinstall and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile OS)
  • Test and quality-check refurbished devices
  • Grade equipment for resale or recycling streams
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and stock
  • Work efficiently through high volumes of mixed IT equipment

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT repair, refurbishment, or technical support
  • Strong knowledge of PC and laptop hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues
  • Experience with mobile device repair (phones/tablets) is highly desirable
  • Understanding of BIOS, OS installation, and system diagnostics
  • Familiarity with data wiping and secure disposal practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with server hardware and RAID systems
  • Component-level repair skills (soldering etc.)
  • Knowledge of IT asset recovery or WEEE recycling environments
  • CompTIA A+ or similar qualifications, * Any relevant qualifications or certifications
  • Examples of previous repair or refurbishment work (if available)
