Job description

  • Building and maintaining C# applications that run on marine display hardware - real software, on real ships, doing work that matters
  • Owning full life-cycle development, from design through to field support
  • Diagnosing and fixing issues reported from vessels already in service
  • Working AGILE, with code reviews and close collaboration baked into the process
  • Partnering with System Test teams to get releases right
  • Providing technical leadership and mentoring within the team

Requirements

  • 8+ years in software development, ideally with large, complex codebases
  • Deep experience with C#, .NET, and Windows Forms
  • Strong grounding in multi-threaded and distributed applications
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP and UDP - network protocol experience is a real advantage here, since these displays talk to other systems on the vessel
  • Sharp analytical skills and comfort reviewing code and design across large projects
  • A collaborative, communicative style - you’ll be working across UK and international teams
