We’re looking for skilled professionals to join teams protecting critical infrastructure and digital assets across our organisation. Roles of this type could involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and respond to emerging threats in a dynamic environment.What you would doTypical responsibilities could include:

• Designing and implementing security controls and defense strategies across cloud and on-premises environments
• Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps
• Supporting the deployment and management of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems and network segmentation
• Collaborating with development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and microservices architectures
• Monitoring and analysing security events and incidents, responding to threats and contributing to incident response procedures
• Documenting security configurations, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
• Contributing to security awareness and best practices across the organisation

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent security qualification
• Knowledge of security principles across cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP
• Understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, DMZ architecture and network segmentation
• Familiarity with security tools and technologies relevant to your experience
• Knowledge of operating systems including Linux and Windows administration and hardening
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within security teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Day rate: £250-280 per day (depending on experience and location)
• Flexible working arrangements across our UK locations in Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and beyond
