Job description
As a Senior Software Engineer - Gen AI, you will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of full-stack and AI-powered solutions that drive innovation and align with organizational goals.
- Contribute to full-stack application development, integrating Python backends with modern front-end frameworks, and deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Assist in the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions, including LLM-based chatbots and domain-specific assistants aligned with business goals
- Support the development of collaborative apps on platforms like Microsoft Teams and Viva to enhance user engagement and productivity
- Work closely with product, business, operations, and design teams to align technical solutions with user needs and organizational objectives
- Write secure, reusable, and testable code; follow best practices; and participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
- Provide guidance to junior developers, contribute to team discussions, and help manage GitHub repositories for project continuity
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, while staying updated on emerging tools and technologies
About the Team Our Moody’s Shared Services (MSS) Technology Solutions Group (TSG) team is responsible for delivering innovative, enterprise-grade technology solutions that power the operations and digital transformation initiatives across Moody’s. By joining our team, you will be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking group that leverages cutting-edge tools - including Generative AI, cloud platforms, and modern software frameworks - to drive efficiency, scalability, and business impact. TSG partners closely with stakeholders across the organization to build solutions that are secure, user-centered, and aligned with Moody’s strategic goals, fostering a culture of continuous innovation and responsible AI adoption.
Requirements
- Full-Stack Development: 4+ years of experience with Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with strong proficiency in both front-end (React, Angular) and back-end (Django, FastAPI, Flask) frameworks
- Generative AI & ML: Practical experience building and deploying AI-powered solutions (e.g., chatbots, enterprise assistants) using tools like FastMCP, Azure AI Search, LangSmith, LangChain, OpenAI API, and custom LLMs; familiar with ML frameworks, NLP techniques, and MLOps workflows
- Cloud & Architecture: Skilled in developing and deploying cloud-based solutions on AWS, Azure, and GCP, with hands-on experience in containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)
- Database & Data Management: Proficient in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, Cosmos DB) databases; experienced in troubleshooting and improving data quality
- Testing & Security: Knowledge of secure coding practices, authentication, and encryption; experience with AI testing frameworks like LangSmith and Langfuse, as well as code testing frameworks like Pytest, Cypress, and Jest
- Collaboration & Leadership: Strong communicator and effective team player with experience mentoring peers, coordinating cross-functional projects, and delivering AI-powered solutions that meet business needs
- Adaptability & Problem Solving: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills; thrives in dynamic environments and consistently delivers on time
- Deep expertise in artificial intelligence, with a track record of implementing advanced AI solutions to drive strategic transformation and operational efficiency. Strong experience using AI tools to lead innovation initiatives. Demonstrated leadership in managing AI-related risks, ensuring ethical governance, and fostering a culture of responsible AI adoption across the organization

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

- Employee discount, For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $116,500.00 - $169,000.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
