Job description

Insight Global is looking to add a Security Engineer to support a telecommunications client in a hybrid, large-scale environment. This role is hands-on and critical to building and maintaining the security posture of complex enterprise systems. The Security Engineer will partner closely with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders to implement and validate security controls, improve asset visibility, and reduce risk through proactive engineering efforts. Responsibilities will include vulnerability remediation and hardening, security tooling and control testing, incident response support, and detection/monitoring improvements, helping ensure weaknesses are addressed before they become incidents

Requirements

5-10 years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a comparable security-focused role

Demonstrated experience assessing enterprise security posture and maturity within complex environments

Strong hands-on experience leveraging security tools to run reports, analyze data, and identify security gaps

Experience utilizing Splunk, including writing queries, analyzing dashboards, and collaborating with Splunk engineers to deliver meaningful security visibility

Proven ability to provide actionable security recommendations and operate beyond a traditional Security Analyst scope CISP or security certifications
