Job description

They are looking for a hands-on IT Manager who can be both strategic and roll up their sleeves to get the job done. This is a collaborative role reporting to the CFO. You will be challenged with driving the implementation and management of technology solutions that support the company’s business objectives; this includes ERP, ERP, HR as well as general IT support

What they are really looking for is someone with an interest in the industry and, more importantly, a passion for technology and leveraging them to optimize operations, enhance the customer experience and drive innovation.

You will manage a small staff of about 3 employees as well as an IT services vendor. You will be based out of Monterey and there may be some travel to the retail locations if needed.

What you will be tasked with:

  • Hands-on Leadership: designing, developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems (hardware, software, networks, data centers)
  • Technology Innovation: identifying and implementing emerging technologies that can improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Problem Solving: providing end-user support for staff at all levels (diagnosing and resolving complex IT issues to minimize downtime and disruption to business operations
  • Data-Driven Decision Making - leveraging data analytics to provide insight that will inform strategic decision-making
  • Budgeting - managing the department budget to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Vendor Management - negotiating and overseeing IT vendors and service providers
  • Team Management & Development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory/management role overseeing IT
  • Passion for technology and staying current with industry trends
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing complex IT systems
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, network security and data management principles
  • Collaborative attitude
  • Leadership and Management
  • Ability to manage with an openness to jump in to get things done
  • Strong trouble-shooting skills
