Technical Program Manager

And now we’re expanding to help millions more drivers in the UK and Spain. To help fuel that growth, we need a Technical Program Manager to join our Engineering Department. The Engineering Department is the beating heart of Prima. You’ll be joining over 350 engineers across software development, infrastructure, operations and security: fueled by curiosity, experimentation and collaboration, you’ll help deliver scalable, impactful solutions that shape the future of insurance. What You’ll Do

• Lead end-to-end infrastructure programs (planning, execution, tracking, and reporting), helping engineering teams break down large initiatives into manageable deliverables, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Proactively manage cross-team dependencies, risks, blockers, and escalation paths, maintaining clear visibility into program health, ownership, and resource constraints while driving timely decisions
• Align Infrastructure, Security, Product, Operations, and Engineering teams while facilitating planning sessions and operational reviews that improve delivery, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and create alignment around shared goals.
• Use delivery metrics and tooling data (e.g. Jira, YouTrack, adoption metrics, operational KPIs) to identify bottlenecks, improve engineering workflows, and measure the impact of platform initiatives.
• Own engagement with third-party infrastructure vendors, managing contract renewals, budgeting/forecasting, and coordinating compliance reviews (e.g., DORA, GDPR, security assessments).
• Facilitate planning sessions, technical workshops, operational reviews, and on-site collaboration to improve alignment, decision making, knowledge sharing, and execution across engineering teams.
• Bring clarity to complex infrastructure initiatives by defining ownership, success criteria, priorities, and execution plans. Help teams navigate ambiguity, remove delivery friction, and maintain momentum across multiple stakeholders.

• Proven Experience in Technical Program Management, Infrastructure Program Management, or Technical Project Management roles.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure and platform engineering environments, with the ability to work effectively alongside engineers, engineering managers, product managers, security teams, and technical leadership.
• Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies, engineering execution practices, and managing complex cross-functional technical programs.
• Deep hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools such as YouTrack, Jira, and Confluence.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, influence without authority, create alignment across teams, and provide clear executive-level reporting., * Familiarity with AWS (or other cloud providers), Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, observability tooling, networking, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• A formal technical or engineering background (e.g., previous experience as an engineer, sysadmin, or DevOps).
• Experience driving operational excellence, SRE practices, engineering effectiveness, or platform adoption through measurable outcomes.
• Experience working with globally distributed engineering teams.
