Job description

Your daily work routine will be a vibrant and engaging blend of the following tasks:

  • Support our Web Component Development team in building, testing, and maintaining reusable frontend components for digital products and platforms
  • Contribute to the implementation of modern, scalable, and user-centered frontend solutions using web technologies
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product stakeholders to refine requirements and translate them into high-quality frontend components
  • Assist in improving the usability, accessibility, responsiveness, and consistency of our component library and frontend applications
  • Help document components, usage guidelines, and development standards to support efficient collaboration and adoption across teams
  • Participate in debugging, testing, and optimizing frontend code to ensure quality and performance
  • Support the integration of web components into larger applications and contribute to the continuous improvement of our frontend development processes
  • Directly apply the skills and knowledge gained during your studies to real-world projects

Requirements

  • Enrolled student in computer science, media informatics, software engineering, or a comparable degree program
  • First practical experience or solid knowledge in frontend development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Interested in modern frontend architectures and component-based development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are able to understand technical requirements quickly
  • Collaborative team player who is also independent, open-minded, proactive, and agile in your thinking
  • You exhibit a structured work approach and effectively organize your tasks
  • You are fluent in English
  • You are available for a minimum of one year and 20 hours per week

Nice to have

  • You have gained first experience with frontend frameworks or libraries such as React, Angular, Vue, Lit, or similar technologies
  • You are familiar with Git, package managers, and common frontend development workflows
  • You have a basic understanding of responsive design, web accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
  • You understand how different disciplines-concept, design, and development-work together to create high-quality digital products
  • You have conversational skills in German or are eager to improve your proficiency in the German language
