Job description
We are seeking a FinOps Engineer / Cloud Financial Analyst to support a confidential client in optimizing AWS cloud spending and improving financial governance across enterprise cloud environments. In this role, you will analyze cloud costs, identify optimization opportunities, and implement FinOps best practices to maximize cloud efficiency while supporting engineering and finance teams., * Analyze and optimize AWS cloud costs across multi-account environments
- Identify savings opportunities through rightsizing, Reserved Instances (RI), and Savings Plans
- Monitor cloud spending using AWS Cost Anomaly Detection
- Develop and maintain cost allocation and tagging strategies
- Generate insights using AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR)
- Utilize AWS Trusted Advisor and Cost Optimization Hub to improve cloud efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams on cloud cost optimization initiatives

Requirements
- Due to client security requirements, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Must be willing to undergo fingerprinting as part of the onboarding process.
- Must successfully complete a government background investigation (CJIS-type clearance)., The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS cost optimization, multi-account cloud environments, and cloud financial reporting, along with a strong technical background in cloud engineering or a related discipline., * 3+ years of AWS Cloud Operations or FinOps experience
