Job description

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are You have deep experience in hardware-assisted verification and know FPGA prototyping plays a critical role in validating complex silicon and enabling software readiness. You understand practical use cases across HW/SW validation, software bring-up, system-level debug, and hybrid flows, and you know how to identify technical gaps before they become customer issues.

You think in use cases, not feature lists. When a workflow breaks down, you can connect the problem to flow design, debug strategy, or missing capability, then work across teams to drive a practical solution. You are comfortable influencing Product Management, R&D, and field teams through technical depth, clear judgment, and hands-on execution.

At Synopsys, you will help strengthen the technical readiness and customer adoption of the HAV portfolio by developing reference use cases, improving methodology, and supporting successful deployment in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and validate software requirements and readiness criteria for FPGA Prototyping with HAPS in partnership with Product Management and R&D
  • Lead anchor projects that demonstrate FPGA prototyping, HW/SW validation, and software bring-up use cases
  • Support strategic customer deployments and bring-up, helping resolve technical blockers and improve adoption
  • Build reusable use cases, solution flows, and methodology that improve deployment success across the HAV portfolio
  • Partners across R&D, PM, Field AE, and Marketing to translate customer needs into practical technical direction
  • Contribute to technical collateral including demos, application notes, and methodology content that accelerates customer understanding and adoption

The Impact You Will Have

  • Your work will improve release readiness and help teams focus on capabilities that are deployable in real customer environments
  • Methodologies you develop will make it easier for field teams and customers to adopt HAV solutions successfully
  • Your technical input will help align product improvements with real deployment needs across FPGA prototyping, and software validation use cases
  • The anchor projects you lead will create stronger reference flows for customer evaluations and production adoption

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Typically, 8+ years of experience in FPGA prototyping, hardware-assisted verification, or complex systems engineering with direct exposure to HAV technologies
  • Strong understanding of FPGA-based prototyping, HW/SW validation, software bring-up, debug methodologies, and compile optimization
  • Experience working across R&D, Product Management, and field organizations to influence technical direction and drive execution
  • Ability to connect customer pain points to product behavior, methodology, and deployment success

Who You Are

  • You can diagnose bring-up, and debug issues quickly and turn them into practical next steps
  • You care about field readiness, not just whether something works in a controlled environment
  • You influence product and release decisions through technical credibility, data, and customer insight
  • You are a strong technical partner who helps teams move faster and make better decisions
