Job description
We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Principal Data Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise data solutions. In this pivotal role, you will champion data architecture strategies that enable scalable, high-performance data systems across cloud and on-premise environments. Your expertise will drive the integration of big data technologies, data modeling projects, and advanced analytics to empower business intelligence and decision-making processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a visionary leader passionate about shaping data ecosystems in a fast-paced environment., * Lead the development of comprehensive cloud database architectures utilizing AWS, Azure Data Lake, and other cloud platforms to support scalable data solutions.
- Design and implement robust data models for data warehousing, master data management, and linked data initiatives that align with organizational goals.
- Oversee system design for system development projects, ensuring optimal performance tuning, scalability, and security across all data platforms.
- Drive the integration of NoSQL databases such as Hadoop and Spark with traditional relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle to facilitate big data analytics.
- Develop and enforce best practices for ETL processes using Informatica, SQL, Bash (Unix shell), and other tools to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to deliver innovative data solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Provide thought leadership on cloud database architecture, system design for system development, and advanced analytics to foster continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in system design for system development within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in cloud database architecture on platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (including Microsoft SQL Server), Oracle, Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL (e.g., Hadoop), and related big data technologies.
- Demonstrated success managing complex data modeling projects involving data warehousing design and master data management initiatives.
- Skilled in ETL tools like Informatica along with scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell).
- Deep understanding of business intelligence concepts combined with hands-on experience in analytics-driven projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic insights for stakeholders.
