Java/AWS Engineer (Hybrid, NYC, NY Area) W2 Only

6+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.

Proven expertise working with Apache Kafka and event-driven application design.

Hands-on experience with RESTful API development and microservices architecture.

Strong knowledge of containerization with Docker.

Familiarity with relational databases and ORM frameworks like Hibernate or JDBC.

Practical experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, EC2, CloudWatch, IAM, and Route53.

Demonstrated understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and GitHub.

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with Mainframe to cloud modernization projects.

Knowledge of messaging solutions like SQS.

Familiarity with AWS EKS and other container orchestration tools.

Experience working in an environment prioritizing rapid deployment through practices like blue-green deployments and feature toggles.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Extensive hands-on experience in cloud architecture, microservices, and high-scale system design.
