Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Python, AWS, and coding best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, cloud computing. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable software solutions that power our products and services., * Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Python.

  • Utilize AWS services to build, deploy, and manage applications in the cloud.
  • Has strong knowledge of cloud data engineering principles and manages Python based data pipelines.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our solutions remain current and competitive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proven experience delivering solutions making use of AWS.
  • Understanding of software development best practices, including design patterns, coding standards, ELT/ETL standards, and code reviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Expertise with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines (Python/Airflow, Spark ETL, AWS services) and deploying infrastructure as code (CDK) Expertise with SQL Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience with web development technologies such as Node.js, React, Vue.js, or similar.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or similar.
