Senior Scrum Master Work at Home Optional

The Senior Scrum Master coordinates the activities for development teams, ensuring that SAFe agile principles are followed. They facilitate all team events including Iteration Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives. They work to remove impediments for the team, improve processes, and mentor the team. Senior Scrum Masters support the Product Owners in maintaining the team backlog and creating increments of value. The Senior Scrum Master should have excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills., The Senior Scrum Master leads teams through work actions that can be completed within timeboxed iterations called sprints and tracks progress through 15-minute stand-up meetings. Begins to influence department’s strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Bachelor’s degree

Experience with the SDLC

Excellent communication skills, leadership competencies, and high level of emotional intelligence

Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment or good familiarity with the Agile methodologies

Experience in working in multi-team environment

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Prior insurance operations background

Technical documentation abilities

Advanced knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology

Working knowledge of Agile Project Management Tools

Scrum Master certification

Previous experience planning and managing large projects

Prior experience in the health solutions industry

Working experience with IT teams
