Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data Management Specialist to lead our data initiatives and ensure the integrity, quality, and accessibility of our enterprise data assets. In this role, you will be at the forefront of managing complex data systems, designing robust data models, and implementing innovative solutions to support business intelligence and analytics. Your expertise will drive strategic decision-making, streamline data workflows, and uphold regulatory compliance standards. Duties
- Manage SQL databases and data warehouses, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability for big data applications.
- Conduct rigorous data quality monitoring to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, or errors; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project management initiatives to deliver timely data solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar BI tools to present insights clearly for stakeholders.
- Oversee information governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in master data management.
Requirements
- Proficiency in SQL programming for database querying, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop or Spark is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and advanced analytics tasks.
- Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL Server, or other relational database management systems.
- Expertise in ETL tools like Informatica or Talend for efficient data pipeline creation.
- Ability to design scalable data models for data warehouses and support complex analysis efforts.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance management related to data privacy and security standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing projects or guiding teams through technical challenges.
- Excellent analysis skills with a focus on data collection, interpretation, and actionable insights.
- Understanding of information governance principles including linked data concepts for interconnected datasets.
- Experience working within Agile environments to deliver iterative improvements rapidly.
