Job description

Insight Global is partnering with one of the fast-growing national AV, security, and IT contractors. This company is committed to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Data Center Construction Supervisor. This position will be located on-site at one of their data-center clients in Port Washington, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for the right person to join one of the fastest-growing businesses in the data center space.

Day to Day: Construction Oversight - Manage day-to-day construction activities including structural build-outs, equipment room preparation, cable-tray installation, and coordination with general contractors.

Fiber Installation Management - Supervise fiber-optic installation, splicing, testing, and certification; ensure proper routing, labeling, and documentation.

Infrastructure Deployment - Oversee installation of racks, cabinets, PDUs, ladder racks, containment systems, and structured cabling.

Project Coordination - Work with engineering teams, construction managers, and vendors to align schedules, resolve conflicts, and maintain project milestones.

Quality Assurance - Inspect fiber runs, conduit work, cable trays, and equipment installations to ensure compliance with design specs and industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI).

Safety & Compliance - Enforce OSHA standards, site safety protocols, and proper handling of tools, ladders, lifts, and electrical equipment.

Vendor & Contractor Management - Coordinate external fiber crews, construction teams, electricians, and mechanical contractors.

Documentation & Reporting - Maintain as-built drawings, fiber maps, test results, daily logs, and progress reports.

Equipment & Material Planning - Forecast material needs, manage inventory, and ensure timely delivery of fiber, conduit, hardware, and construction supplies.

The expected hours are 6AM-3PM. 10 hours shifts + some 1/2 day Saturdays. 15+ people will be on each Foreman’s crew.

Requirements

4+ years of experience in a Foreman role in a construction environment

  • Strong understanding of low-voltage, structure cabling, and mission critical work
  • Managed large crews + ability to hit project deadlines
