Senior Full Stack Developer (OOP) - Cape Town

Requirements

Must have:

- This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in our Cape Town office. - 6–9 years of relevant full stack development experience - Strong proficiency in at least one OOP backend language: Java, C#, Kotlin, or Python - Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot, .NET, or Django/Flask - Experience with at least one modern frontend framework (Angular, React, or Vue) - Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles (SOLID, design patterns) - Experience working with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture - Experience working in an English speaking environment - Strong grasp of OOP concepts: encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, abstraction - Experience with relational databases and ORM frameworks (e.g. Hibernate, Entity Framework) - Ability to design and implement scalable backend systems - Implementing automated testing and unit tests - Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams - Experience with Kotlin or Spring Boot for

JVM-based development - Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) - Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps principles - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Familiarity with TDD/BDD practices
