AI Technical Lead

A pharmaceutical enterprise is seeking a hands-on AI Technical Lead to own the technical delivery of production-grade AI systems across its digital, data, and analytics environments. This is a builder-leader role: you’ll set engineering direction while staying deep in the code, designing, deploying, and operating enterprise AI capabilities on a Microsoft-first stack in a regulated environment., * Lead the design, build, and operation of enterprise AI solutions on Azure - Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Semantic Kernel, and core Azure services.

• Stay hands-on: review architecture and code, build POCs, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide teams through production hardening.
• Define and enforce engineering standards for AI delivery - evaluation, monitoring, release controls, security, privacy, and Responsible AI.
• Partner with architecture, security, and delivery stakeholders to keep solutions scalable, compliant, and auditable.

• Senior software engineering background with deep hands-on design and delivery of cloud-native applications and APIs.
• Proven delivery of production GenAI and agentic solutions on Microsoft tech - Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, Copilot Studio, RAG, and evaluation workflows.
• Strong Azure engineering: Functions, App Services, AKS, API Management, Entra, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support.
• Demonstrated technical leadership - building POCs through to production, reviewing code and architecture, and leading teams by example.
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments with robust security, privacy, governance, and Responsible AI controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across technical and business teams.
