Job description

This position is based primarily with one of our software customers, a Texas-based electric brokerage that runs its entire operation on the Worx4U platform. The role is structured around two areas of focus that work together:

  • Python automation. Develop and maintain Python applications that interact with external supplier portals on the customer’s behalf - completing enrollments, processing bill payments, retrieving invoices, and extracting usage data. Some suppliers expose REST APIs; others require browser automation. You will work with both.
  • Oracle APEX development. Build and maintain the internal applications used by the operations team, including customer records, contract management, enrollment tracking, and reporting. APEX is straightforward to learn if you do not already know it, and we will support you in doing so.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop Python scripts using Selenium or Playwright for supplier site automation
  • Integrate with REST APIs for both data consumption and signup workflows
  • Reverse-engineer third-party web flows, including authentication, session handling, dynamic content, and CAPTCHA challenges
  • Design resilient automations that handle site changes, rate limits, and authentication edge cases
  • Oracle APEX page creation, process scripting, and platform improvements
  • PL/SQL development to move data between Python pipelines and the Oracle database
  • Identify and address opportunities to improve existing processes

Requirements

Do you have experience in Selenium?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Python - production-quality code, including error handling, logging, and structured testing

  • Browser automation - Selenium, Playwright, or demonstrated ability to learn either quickly
  • Web scraping - comfortable with requests, BeautifulSoup, lxml, parsing JavaScript-rendered pages, and working with non-ideal HTML
  • REST APIs - experience consuming third-party APIs, including authentication, rate limiting, and retry logic
  • SQL - proficient with queries, joins, and aggregations, * Oracle APEX - page creation, implementation, and process scripting
  • PL/SQL - Oracle’s procedural extension of SQL
  • Prior experience working in or adjacent to Oracle environments, We are open to candidates at a range of experience levels, including recent graduates with strong demonstrable skills in Python and web automation. The qualities we prioritize:
  • A strong sense of ownership over the systems and processes you work on
  • A genuine interest in continued learning, both within the technical stack and in adjacent areas
  • Attention to craft - writing code that you and your teammates can maintain six months from now
  • Persistence in working through difficult problems
  • Adaptability in a small-company environment where priorities can shift
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a small team

About the company

Worx4U Software builds a unified business management platform for small and mid-size businesses. Our proprietary, industry-agnostic data model consolidates customer records, contracts, accounting, sales pipeline, messaging, service orders, and operational reporting into a single integrated system. Where most small businesses run their operations across a fragmented stack of disconnected point solutions, our customers run theirs on one platform with one source of truth.

We are live with customers today and continue to expand into new verticals. The platform, the team, and the customer base are all growing, and we are hiring to support that growth.
