Job description

The Regional SAP Project Manager acts as the strategic and operational bridge between Central Business Process Owners (BPOs), the Global SAP Core Team, and Local Regional Stakeholders. The role is responsible for driving the successful deployment, and adoption of the SAP Core System across multiple functional domains (Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, E-comm and Business Intelligence).

This position ensures that regional specificities are seamlessly integrated without compromising core global standards, managing projects from inception through to hypercare and continuous improvement., 1. Regional Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Strategic Interface: Act as the primary regional point of contact for Global SAP Teams and Central BPOs, ensuring total alignment on project objectives, scope, compliance, and deployment timelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate communication and break down silos across local departments (Finance, Supply Chain, Retail, E-comm, IT, and Business Intelligence) to ensure smooth decision-making processes.
  • Steering & Reporting: Define, track, and monitor project health using advanced KPIs and dashboards. Proactively identify deviations (scope, timeline, budget) and implement decisive corrective actions.
  1. End-to-End Project Delivery & Lifecycle Management * Roadmap Execution: Lead and coordinate all regional project activities (planning, resource allocation, dependency mapping, and documentation) in strict alignment with the global rollout strategy. * Risk Mitigation & Escalation: Identify, assess, and manage project risks. Establish proactive mitigation plans and manage regional escalation workflows to ensure zero impact on critical milestones. * Testing & Quality Assurance: Coordinate, structure, and supervise User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases. Ensure rigorous business validation, defect tracking resolution, and formal sign-offs prior to go-live. * Data Readiness & Migration Strategy: Supervise regional data cleansing, data mapping, and migration activities in collaboration with MDM (Master Data Management) and local teams to guarantee data integrity at cutover.

  2. Change Management, Training & Adoption * Adoption Strategies: Design and execute tailored regional change management initiatives, including stakeholder mapping, change impact analysis, and comprehensive communication plans. * Training Excellence: Oversee all training tracks (train-the-trainer and end-user sessions), ensuring training materials are localized and that end-users achieve full autonomy before the go-live date. * Hypercare & Business Continuity: Drive the transition from project to runtime. Orchestrate rapid issue resolution, mitigating post-go-live business disruption, and facilitating handover to regular Support teams.

  3. New & Enhanced Value-Add Responsibilities * Global Initiative Synergy: Identify opportunities where regional specificities can be mutualized or scaled as a global blueprint for other brands or regions within the group. * Continuous Process Optimization: Collect localized post-deployment feedback, identify process bottlenecks, and actively advocate for central and regional enhancements in the Global SAP Template and Core deployment methodologies.

  4. Rollouts & Deliveries of Connected Ecosystem Tools * Ecosystem Rollout Management: Drive and oversee the regional rollout, deployment, and localized delivery of key retail and operational satellite applications closely linked to SAP, specifically BOP, Keope, and FAST.

Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of solid experience managing complex implementation or rollout projects within an international or retail environment (Luxury/Fashion sector is a strong plus).
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong cross-functional understanding of complex retail environments, including their integration with enterprise architecture and data warehouses.

Technical & Soft Skills

  • Methodologies: Certified in Project Management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum) is highly preferred.
  • System Integration: Proven ability to navigate complex enterprise application landscapes.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and matrixed stakeholder management skills. Able to translate technical constraints into clear business impacts.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) as the primary working language. Fluency in the local regional language is a distinct asset.
