Job description

The SharePoint Developer will serve as the technical lead for Microsoft Enterprise Content Management and collaboration platforms supporting Surface Team 1. This role will maintain and enhance existing SharePoint Online environments while developing new applications, dashboards, and automation tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting visibility, and user experience. This position requires both deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to translate complex solutions into intuitive tools for Navy stakeholders., * Serve as Site Collection Administrator/Owner for SharePoint Online environments.

Support and maintain the existing Microsoft SharePoint Online instance and associated applications.
Design, build, deploy, and sustain custom SharePoint solutions.
Develop dashboards, performance metrics, and interactive reporting tools using:
Power BI
Power Apps
Power Automate
SharePoint Forms
Integrate SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Planner, etc.).
Implement and enforce security best practices, including permissions management and governance controls.
Develop automation workflows to streamline business processes.
Configure and manage:
Content types
Web parts
Search capabilities
Group policies and user permission sets
Cross-site collection functions
Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.
Collaborate with government stakeholders to identify requirements and implement scalable solutions.
Ensure platform reliability, performance, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Required Technical Skills & Expertise Microsoft Platform Expertise

Expert knowledge of:
SharePoint Online
Microsoft 365
Microsoft Enterprise Content Management & Collaboration technologies
Full proficiency in SharePoint Online Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) capabilities:
Content types
Web parts
Search configuration
Group policies and permission structures
Cross-site functionality

Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on experience with:
Power Apps
Power Automate
Power BI
SharePoint Forms customization

Web & Development Experience

Working knowledge of:
ASP.NET
XML / XSL
AJAX
HTML
JavaScript
jQuery
SOAP & REST services
Data tables and client-side scripting
Experience building and implementing dashboards, metrics, and data visualizations.
