Systems Administrator

The Systems Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operation, security, reliability, and continuous improvement of THOR Industries’ Microsoft infrastructure and enterprise systems. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, improving, and automating technology rather than simply maintaining it. You’ll work closely with the Director of IT in a collaborative environment where automation, documentation, and continuous improvement are valued. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, automating repetitive work, and continuously improving enterprise infrastructure., As our Systems Administrator, you will:

• Administer and maintain our hybrid Microsoft 365 environment, including identity, collaboration, messaging, and cloud services.
• Manage Windows Server infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery systems.
• Support enterprise endpoint management, device compliance, software deployment, and security policies.
• Maintain network infrastructure and ensure reliable connectivity across multiple corporate locations.
• Monitor and strengthen security through identity management, endpoint protection, conditional access, and email security.
• Automate repetitive administrative tasks using scripting and modern management tools.
• Develop and maintain accurate technical documentation, system standards, and operational runbooks.
• Partner with IT leadership to implement infrastructure improvements and support strategic technology initiatives.

Our IT team uses AI assistants such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and Claude to accelerate scripting, troubleshooting, documentation, log analysis, and research. We expect our administrators to use AI thoughtfully while applying sound technical judgment and validating all recommendations before implementation. • Three or more years of experience administering Windows Server and hybrid Microsoft 365 environments.
• Experience managing Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience writing PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improving IT operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable:
• VMware vSphere

• Enterprise networking

• Python

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, VMware VCP, Cisco/Meraki, Security+, or CrowdStrike are preferred but not required.
