Job description

Summary: To assist in providing a well-organized and smoothly functioning classroom environment that reflects the Digital Animation & Game Programming industry, allowing students to fully benefit from the instructional program and available resources., 1. Assist in providing specialized instruction in Digital Animation, Game Programming, and related CTE content areas.

  1. Support students on a one-to-one or small group basis as directed by the lead instructor.
  2. Use remedial and tutorial strategies to support student learning and skill development.
  3. Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and effective learning environment in classroom, lab, and field settings.
  4. Support proper and safe use of digital tools, software, and equipment used in the program.
  5. Assist in setup, operation, and maintenance of instructional technology and lab equipment.
  6. Provide accommodations and supplementary supports for at-risk students, including assistance with assignments, note taking, and study guides aligned to IEPs and 504 Plans.
  7. Support implementation of Student Success Plans, including curricular supports and assistive technology.
  8. Collect and share student progress data with the Student Services team following MTSS and Special Education review cycles.
  9. Assist with coordinating student visits, program tours, and internship experiences.
  10. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration.

Requirements

  1. Must have graduated from high school (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  2. Minimum of two (2) years (4,000 hours) of recent and relevant work experience in digital animation, game design, graphic communications, or related field.
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, staff, parents, and industry partners.
  4. Experience working with a team to collect, interpret, and use data to inform instructional decisions.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work with culturally diverse student populations, including economically disadvantaged, special education, and English Learner students.
  6. Ability to organize, prioritize, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
  7. Ability to be flexible and demonstrate initiative and self-direction.
