Job description

  • Define a solution-agnostic Group Target Operating Model (TOM), capability set, and use cases to support ERP tool selection.
  • Translate the approved Target Operating Model into contractual business requirements, supporting the selection of a system integrator and the establishment of a fixed-price contractual baseline.

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost management, and financial planning processes.
  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years, with an expectation of significantly higher seniority for this assignment, typically 15+ years) in business analysis, ERP-enabled transformation programmes, or large-scale business process transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining and structuring Target Operating Models (TOM), business processes, and functional requirements within complex organisational environments.
  • Proven experience in ERP implementation programmes involving leading enterprise solutions such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent, including design, fit/gap analysis, and solution assessment.
  • Experience supporting ERP selection processes and/or system integrator procurement, including preparation of use cases, structured business inputs, and evaluation artefacts.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders, including business teams, IT, vendors, and external partners in a structured, multi-stakeholder environment.

Preferred Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in finance transformation or ERP programmes.
  • Experience in ERP implementations covering budgeting, cost management, and financial planning modules.
  • Strong understanding of standard ERP capabilities and market best practices.
  • Experience within financial institutions, public sector organisations, or regulated environments is considered a strong asset.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong expertise in budgeting, cost management, and financial planning processes, including:
  • Planning and forecasting cycles.
  • Cost allocation approaches.
  • Financial planning.
  • Performance management.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and their interdependencies across finance domains.
  • Excellent knowledge of standard ERP capabilities and market practices, with the ability to align business requirements accordingly.
  • Understanding of business analysis methodologies, process modelling, and requirements structuring techniques.
  • Familiarity with structured procurement processes for ERP tool selection and system integrator procurement, including the preparation of clear, consistent, and traceable documentation within a fair and auditable environment.

Competencies & Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-structuring skills with the ability to translate business needs into structured, consistent, and decision-ready deliverables.
  • Ability to critically challenge existing processes, assumptions, and legacy-driven practices while promoting simplification, standardisation, and alignment with standard ERP capabilities.
  • Ability to distinguish between business requirements aligned with ERP standards and market practices versus those driven by legacy constraints.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, including supporting and structuring workshops with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documentation, including process maps, business requirements, analyses, and fit/gap assessments with clarity, consistency, and traceability.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-stakeholder environment, coordinating with Stream Leaders, SMEs, Programme Management, and external partners.
  • Ability to contribute to structured decision-making by providing clear analysis, options, and trade-off assessments.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines within a structured programme environment.
  • Ability to operate within a controlled and auditable environment, ensuring consistency and traceability of inputs, analyses, and deliverables.
