Job description

  • Act as a key advocate for Kubernetes architecture standards defined by the central platform team.
  • Drive the implementation of Kubernetes best practices across multiple enterprise clusters.
  • Collaborate closely with system architects and domain architects within different business streams.
  • Challenge and refine existing architecture decisions to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide guidelines.
  • Optimize Kubernetes environments across both on-premise infrastructure and Azure public cloud.
  • Provide architectural leadership across distributed cluster environments (blocks and grids).
  • Ensure consistency, scalability, and security of Kubernetes deployments across the organization.
  • Facilitate alignment between platform engineering teams and domain-specific architecture teams.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of overall IT experience, with strong exposure to cloud and container ecosystems.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes architecture, design, and implementation at an enterprise level.
  • Hands-on experience working with both on-premise infrastructure and Azure cloud environments.
  • Proven experience in working with large-scale, distributed cluster architectures.
  • Strong understanding of containerization, orchestration, and microservices architecture.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including platform, DevOps, and architecture teams.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive architectural decisions in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.

You should possess the ability to:

  • Influence and challenge senior architects and stakeholders in a constructive and strategic manner.
  • Translate high-level platform guidelines into practical, scalable Kubernetes solutions.
  • Navigate complex enterprise environments with multiple clusters and architectural domains.
  • Identify architectural gaps and drive continuous improvement in Kubernetes ecosystems.
  • Balance standardization with flexibility across different business units and technical domains.
  • Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Drive alignment and consensus in environments with competing priorities.
  • Think strategically while also understanding hands-on implementation challenges.

What we bring to the table:

  • Opportunity to work on large-scale, enterprise-grade Kubernetes environments.
  • Exposure to both on-premise and Azure cloud infrastructure ecosystems.
  • A highly collaborative environment involving multiple architecture and platform teams.
  • The chance to influence and shape enterprise-wide Kubernetes standards and practices.
  • Engagement in complex, high-impact projects across different business domains.
  • A role with strong visibility and strategic importance within the organization.
  • Continuous learning opportunities in cloud-native and container technologies
