Job description

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer contractor to help us design an intuitive, trustworthy, and polished experience across our mobile app and companion web/admin tools. You will work closely with the founder/product lead and engineering team to translate a growing feature set into clean, usable, mobile-first flows., * Design end-to-end user flows and wireframes for new and existing features

Create high-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes using Figma
Maintain and evolve a design system and component library for cross-app consistency
Conduct or synthesize user research and feedback - especially from working nurses - to inform design decisions
Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate and technically feasible implementation
Design for a two-sided marketplace: a nurse-facing mobile experience and facility-facing staffing tools
Deliver pragmatic, iterative design at startup speed without sacrificing usability

Requirements

3+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally including consumer mobile apps (iOS/Android)
Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile-first design, clear information architecture, and visual craft
Advanced proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, prototyping)
Ability to work independently, communicate clearly in an async environment, and move quickly

Preferred Qualifications

Experience designing for marketplaces, gig or staffing platforms, fintech (payments/payouts), or healthcare applications
Familiarity with credentialing or compliance flows
Experience with chat/messaging UX
Background in rewards, gamification, or community-driven product features
