Job description

Concordant LLC is seeking a highly experienced Mainframe Programmer with deep expertise in COBOL development, IDMS databases, and enterprise application support. This role will support critical production systems, software enhancements, maintenance activities, testing efforts, and operational support for a large-scale enterprise environment., * Analyze, develop, modify, and maintain complex mainframe applications.

  • Design and implement coding changes using COBOL, CA-ADS, and IDMS databases.
  • Review technical specifications and translate requirements into functional solutions.
  • Perform debugging, unit testing, integration testing, and production support activities.
  • Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers, business stakeholders, and operations personnel.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call support schedule.
  • Document system changes and technical solutions.

Requirements

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, * High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in computer systems development and maintenance.
  • Minimum 10 years of Mainframe development experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of MVS COBOL experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of IDMS experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of CA-ADS experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of JCL experience.
  • Experience using ChangeMan.
  • Experience using File-AID.
  • Experience using FootPrints.
  • Experience using SAS.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise production systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines., * Experience supporting government IT systems.
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical applications with high availability requirements., * High school or equivalent (Required), * computer systems/development: 10 years (Required)
