This is why right from the beginning; our analysts and solution-builders work closely with our clients to ensure that the project outcomes continue to deliver value long into the future., The Workday Security & Role Configuration Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining security roles and access controls within Workday. The role ensures proper governance, compliance, and secure access across HR, Finance, and Student systems while supporting ongoing system enhancements and audits. Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Workday security roles, domains, and business process security policies.
  • Manage user provisioning, role-based access control, and segregation of duties (SoD).
  • Support implementation and enhancement of Workday security architecture.
  • Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with university and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and functional teams to define security requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve access and permission issues.
  • Support Workday releases, updates, and testing of security changes.
  • Document security configurations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure data privacy and protection across all Workday modules.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Security configuration
  • Knowledge of role-based security, domain security, and business process security
  • Experience with user provisioning and access controls
  • Understanding of segregation of duties (SoD) principles
  • Workday implementation or support experience
  • Security auditing and compliance management
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related field.

Preferred Certifications

  • Workday HCM / Security Certification
  • Workday Financials Certification (preferred)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar security certifications
  • ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred)

Preferred Experience

  • 3 7 years of Workday security administration experience
  • Experience in Higher Education or public sector environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise ERP security governance and audits
