This is why right from the beginning; our analysts and solution-builders work closely with our clients to ensure that the project outcomes continue to deliver value long into the future., * The Workday Functional Consultant serves as a subject-matter expert across one or more Workday functional domains including Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Benefits Administration, and/or Recruiting.

  • This role partners directly with client stakeholders to analyze business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, facilitate testing cycles, and support successful go-live and post-production operations., * Lead discovery sessions with HR, Payroll, and Benefits stakeholders to capture and document current-state business processes and future-state requirements.
  • Configure Workday modules including Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and/or Recruiting in alignment with approved functional design documents.
  • Develop and maintain functional design documents, configuration workbooks, and business process documentation.
  • Support end-to-end and parallel testing, document test scripts, and coordinate issue resolution with technical teams.
  • Facilitate end-user training sessions and create training materials, job aids, and quick-reference guides.
  • Assist with data migration activities including legacy data mapping, conversion validation, and reconciliation.
  • Serve as a functional liaison between business users and the technical/integration team throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide post-go-live hypercare support and assist with optimization activities.
  • Stay current with Workday release updates and evaluate impact on existing configurations.

Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Workday functional implementation experience
  • Hands-on configuration in at least one Workday module
  • Strong knowledge of HR, payroll, or benefits business processes
  • Proficiency in requirements gathering and documentation
  • Experience supporting full-cycle Workday implementations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder facilitation skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Workday Pro Certification (HCM, Payroll, Benefits, or Recruiting)
  • Experience with multiple Workday module implementations
  • Higher education or public sector client experience
  • Workday Community contributor/forum participation
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Experience with Workday release management and sandbox testing, * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Workday Pro or Workday Partner Certification strongly preferred.
