Job description
Northwest Respiratory Services is seeking a CMN (Certificate of Medical Necessity) Specialist in our Eagan, MN Billing Office. This person is responsible for all CMNs (Certificate of Medical Necessity) and other supporting medical documentation required for billing., * Create, send, and follow up on all CMNs and other supporting medical documentation required for billing (to include clinical chart notes, standard written orders, and renewal prescriptions for DME/HME)
- Follow up with doctor offices via phone, fax, or email
- Maintain doctor files in system for accurate fax numbers, clinic addresses, etc.
- Review CMNs for accuracy prior to logging in system to release billing
- Work pending CMN Report
- Work various other reports for follow up
Requirements
- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and dependable
- Understanding of HIPPA laws to handle confidential personal and medical information
- Familiarity with Medical Terminology
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Previous experience in DME/HME documentation or billing
- Knowledge of Brightree software is a plus!
