Job description

Manages the credentialing software database, including auditing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Audits, analyzes, and maintains the integrity of provider data in the credentialing system for division providers. Verifies, adds, deletes, or edits all non-credentialed physicians and physician health extenders in the credentialing system. Develops and delivers reports reflecting operating performance and compliance with standards and applicable state and accrediting agency requirements. Ensures regulatory compliance with division, facility, and policies regarding expirables such as licensure, DEA, board certification, malpractice insurance, and applicable certifications. Completes database management to ensure appropriate access and confidentiality while maintaining the integrity of the credentialing database. Provides statistical and analytical reports to local medical staff offices and other stakeholders. Maintains close working relationships with medical staff offices, division, and other customers. Assists with facility and divisional reports. Assists in special projects. Supports the health system mission, values, and philosophy. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical troubleshooting support?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, and a high degree of proficiency in MSOffice suite. [Required]

  • Ability to work independently. [Required]
  • Strong written, phone, and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate and cooperate with system imaging staff, medical transcription staff, medical staff members and/or their office staff, non-staff providers, MIS staff, Administration and patients and their families, as well as customers of the CVO including Medical Staff Offices (MSO) and affiliated groups. [Required]
  • Exceptional organization skills and detail-oriented with strong critical thinking, organizational, and planning skills. [Required]
  • Strong attention to detail. [Required]
  • Critical-thinking skills: ability to problem solve, make decisions and effectively communicate issues and progress. [Required]
  • Knowledge of healthcare environment and healthcare delivery systems. [Required]
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer systems such as Cypress, Cerner, MSOW (Morissey), and Qlikview reporting system. [Required]
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with regards to provider information and understand/adhere to HIPAA privacy and security policies and procedures. [Required]
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or the ability to learn medical terminology. [Preferred]
  • Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. [Required]
  • Ability to function in demanding, stressful, and fast-paced, confidential environments. [Required]

Education:

  • Associate [Preferred]

Field of Study:

  • in medical billing and coding or information technology

Work Experience:

  • 2+ health information management (him) or medical records experience [Required]
