Job description

Are you looking to take your manufacturing career to the next level with modern automation? We are seeking a detail-oriented Palletizing Cell Operator to own the end-of-line packaging process. In this role, you won’t just be stacking boxes-you will be managing an advanced robotic cell featuring an articulating ABB pallet grabber robot and automated stretch wrapping equipment.

Your main goal is to keep the cell fed, ensure the right system settings are running for each product batch, and quickly troubleshoot minor faults to keep our high-speed bagging lines moving smoothly., * Robotic Cell Operations: Safely load pallets and slip sheets into the articulating ABB pallet grabber robot, ensuring a continuous material supply to the palletizing machines.

  • System Recipe Management: Verify production schedules and select the correct product recipes and machine settings on the HMI/control panel.
  • Automated Stretch Wrapper Management: Set up, monitor, and maintain automated stretch wrapping equipment. Ensure proper film tension, wrap counts, and perform film roll replacements.
  • First-Line Troubleshooting: Act as the first line of defense for machine stoppages. Quickly diagnose and clear minor faults, errors, or film breaks to minimize downtime on the bagging lines.
  • Quality Control & Inspection: Conduct visual checks on finished pallets to ensure stable stacking, proper wrapping, and accurate product matching before they head to the warehouse.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized robotic cell workspace. Adhere strictly to all machine guarding and Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, packaging, or warehousing environment (experience with robotics or automated packaging equipment is a huge plus).
  • Technical Aptitude: Comfort using touchscreens/HMIs to change machine settings and a knack for mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to double-check product labels and system settings to ensure zero cross-contamination or mixed batches.
  • Dependability: A strong track record of punctuality and communication, as this role directly impacts the uptime of the entire production line.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a 12 hour shift.
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs (such as loading heavy automated stretch wrap film rolls or adjusting pallets).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
