Job description

Jampack AI is building an AI-native operating platform for wholesale CPG operations, automating the full order-to-cash lifecycle from purchase order ingestion through freight coordination, invoicing, and payment reconciliation.

Market traction:

  • Processing $500M+ annualized wholesale volume
  • Live production platform with real customers including Fishwife, Immi, Ghia, Path Water, and Sanzo
  • $3.2M seed funding led by Maveron (co-founded by Howard Schultz) with Timber Grove Ventures participation
  • Co-founder scaled a CPG company from $0 to $40M in 18 months; CTO has prior engineering leadership at scale

About the Role

This is a true founding engineering ownership role. This is not feature factory full-stack work. This is not low-stakes product engineering. This is mission-critical infrastructure ownership where downtime directly impacts shipments and customer revenue.

The stated moat is not the model - it is the infrastructure scaffolding around real-world AI workflows. Core ownership includes:

  • Customer-facing product ownership from concept to production
  • Direct customer conversations and solution design
  • Event-driven AI workflow infrastructure and internal/external APIs
  • ERP, 3PL, retailer, and freight partner integrations
  • Real-time operator console development
  • Sync-layer reliability engineering, observability, SLO design, and on-call ownership
  • Backend, frontend, data, and AI workflow engineering

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, * 2-5 years of software engineering experience, ideally with high-agency startup ownership

  • TypeScript and Node.js expertise
  • Strong Postgres capability - data modeling and query optimization
  • Full-stack engineering ability including React
  • Event-driven architecture experience - webhooks, async workflows, external systems integrations
  • End-to-end product ownership - ability to take vague ideas to production
  • Simplicity-first engineering mindset with reliability ownership
  • Clear, direct communication including customer-facing technical communication
  • Brooklyn hybrid availability with strong in-person presence, * Founding engineer or early startup engineering experience
  • Logistics, supply chain, freight systems, or CPG software exposure
  • B2B SaaS infrastructure experience
  • EDI systems experience (SPS Commerce, TrueCommerce)
  • Flexport background
  • Supabase, Next.js, AI agents, LLM tooling, or agentic production systems
